Scooter was found in the streets of Calcutta in India with bandaged legs. She was in terrible shape, unable to stand.
Thankfully, a few kind-hearted people decided to save her by taking her to the vet clinic.
This was the start of a long journey until she found a loving home.
In the heart of Calcutta, India, a little puppy found herself fighting for survival.
With her paws wrapped in bandages, it was clear someone had attempted to help her but ultimately left her alone on the bustling city streets.
Her condition was dire; she was lost, injured by a bigger dog, and her days seemed numbered. Yet, fate had a different plan.
Noticed by a few kind-hearted people who saw her suffering, the puppy, whose journey had just begun, was about to embark on a path to a new life.
This puppy, later named Scooter, was in desperate need of medical care. Her hind legs were fractured, and she was suffering from open, infected wounds.
The people who found her rushed her to a veterinary clinic where she received the urgent care she needed.
The doctors worked diligently, cleaning her wounds of maggots, treating her infections, and taking care of her bandages.
But it wasn’t just the physical injuries that needed healing; Scooter needed nurturing for her spirit too.
After a few days in the veterinary clinic, Scooter was moved to a shelter and her recovery began. She was given medications, vitamins, and plenty of food to help her regain her strength.
The shelter staff and volunteers dedicated themselves to her care, showing her the kindness she desperately needed. She also made a lot of new doggo friends.
Despite the pain and the surgeries she had to endure, Scooter’s resilience shone through.
She always greeted everyone with a smile, expressing her gratitude to those who contributed to her recovery.
“Despite all the hardship and several surgeries Scooter had to endure, she smiled and thanked everyone who helped her”, shared the people from Touching Rescues on their channel.
Scooter’s turnaround began with the love and devotion of a shelter volunteer named Alexandra Gade.
Alexandra, along with an adult dog she already had adopted, embraced Scooter, offering her the warmth and affection of a family.
Feeling loved, Scooter started to thrive. She transformed into a very cute and spirited puppy, getting stronger and more lively every day.
Yet, there was more to come.
After some time, Alexandra decided to take Scooter with her to Virginia in the US, where she was warmly welcomed into Alexandra’s family home.
There, Scooter received a new name, Dobby, marking the start of an entirely new life chapter.
Dobby is now extremely loved, living a great life with the best family she could have. She is now healthy and happy, which is everything we could hope for.
