This is the story of Lisa, a dog found lying on a cold road, a victim of neglect and cruelty. Pregnant and severely injured by her alleged attacker, she was discovered too late for her unborn puppies to be saved, a pro-animal rights group revealed.
“A young boy stumbled upon a pregnant stray dog beaten and left on the street. Our team rushed to locate her,” the animal rescue group reported.
They diligently searched until they finally spotted Lisa, but by then, her puppies had been lost due to complications.
The incident sheds light on the plight of many animals like Lisa, who suffer from the betrayal of humans they once trusted and loved.
“She had just given birth but lost her pups to health issues and depression,” a spokesperson from the organization explained. Despite concerns that approaching her with food might scare her away, Lisa was eventually lured to safety.
The volunteers worked patiently, taking careful steps to ensure Lisa’s safety and recovery. The journey was long and challenging, but eventually, progress was made.
Now, Lisa is out of danger, showing signs of improvement, eating well, calmer, and steadily gaining strength.
“Because of the mistreatment and the loss of her puppies, she was extremely thin, dehydrated, weak, and anemic,” the organization noted, questioning the motive behind such cruelty.
“Was she beaten simply for trying to nourish her young?” they wondered.
After enduring such a traumatic experience, Lisa was understandably fearful and defensive, even refusing water at first, needing to be given fluids via syringe.
