A stray cat once wandered the streets of Kuwait, seeking attention and food from passersby.
This friendly feline, now affectionately known as Dracula, has undergone a remarkable transformation, earning him the nickname “giant bear” for his love of face rubs.
Kuwait Animal Aid first learned of Dracula a few months ago. At the time, he was a lone cat roaming the streets, looking rather bedraggled and in need of care.

“Even though he appeared a bit grumpy with his teeth, he was incredibly loving,” a spokesperson from the organization shared with Love Meow.
When rescuers approached him, Dracula was thin and dirty, with patches of missing fur due to a skin condition. Understanding the urgency of his situation, volunteers whisked him to a safe place for immediate medical attention.
Dracula’s first task in his new life was a “spa day,” where he was meticulously cleaned from head to toe.

Now settled in a foster home, Dracula received treatment for ringworm and other health issues.
He quickly adjusted to his new environment, showing off his charming personality by gently tapping his caregivers with a paw to request attention. His determination to compensate for the love he missed was clear.
With plenty of care, proper nourishment, and a secure place to live, Dracula’s condition improved significantly. His fur grew back beautifully, complementing his large, affectionate nature.

Initially rescued by Kuwait Animal Aid, which works tirelessly to find new homes for abandoned animals, Dracula was soon relocated to the Friends for Life Rescue Network in Southern California, just before Christmas.
Here, he met his new foster mom, Jane.
“From the start, Dracula was very calm,” Jane shared with Love Meow. He settled in comfortably, even after spending time alone in a half bathroom.

Jane often visited him to help him get used to his new surroundings. “He’s always purring and friendly, and he reaches out to play as you walk past,” she added.
Dracula spent the holidays in the warmth of a loving home, discovering the comfort of snuggling on a warm lap and enjoying the assurance of plenty of food and shelter.
“He’s a sensitive, gentle boy who just loves to snuggle,” remarked Jacqueline DeAmor, founder of Friends for Life Rescue Network.

Jane also noted Dracula’s playful side, saying, “His favorite toy is a little mouse he goes crazy for. He adores having his head and face rubbed, and I believe he might just be the perfect cat.”
Today, Dracula is reveling in his new life indoors, basking in the daily cuddles and face rubs he so dearly loves.
