At Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra, India, a touching scene highlights the playful bond between a rescued tiger mother and her cub.
These moments, photographed by Mumbai-based software tester and amateur photographer Ninad Sane, reveal a glimpse of the family dynamics in the animal kingdom.
Ninad, 26, observing the tigers’ behavior in the reserve, managed to capture the tiger mother as she tried to give her cub a bath in the river.
Instead of staying still, the cub took the opportunity to splash around energetically, enjoying the water more for play than for a bath.
“I had been waiting for a chance to see the tiger mother and her cubs, and finally, they appeared near the riverbank,” Ninad shared.
He described how, like a human child, the cub seemed unable to resist the fun of splashing in the water while the mother looked on with a calm and watchful gaze.
The mother’s patience was evident as she kept a close eye on her cub’s playful antics, embodying tiger moms’ gentle yet protective nature.
After the bath, she shared an affectionate moment, gently nuzzling her cub as a tender end to their time together.
These images serve as a reminder of the solid maternal bonds and affectionate instincts that connect animals and humans alike.
