Despite being humanity’s closest genetic relatives, chimpanzees never cease to surprise us with their complex behaviors.

The latest evidence of their emotional depth? A two-year-old chimp, DoDo, has shown remarkable maternal instincts towards an unlikely charge – a two-month-old tiger cub named Aorn.

Candid photographs capture the pair’s unique bond, showing Do Do as she delicately bottle feeds Aorn, the tiger cub.

The two seem entirely at peace, highlighting the chimpanzee’s nurturing demeanor as she cradles the cub in her arms. Aorn, in return, appreciates the nourishment and comfort of DoDo.

In an act that mirrors human behavior, DoDo tests the milk’s temperature in her mouth – an instinctive maternal gesture ensuring the safety of her adopted child.

Interestingly, DoDo is seen wearing denim shorts, which may serve to shield her skin from Aorn’s developing claws.

This endearing spectacle unfolded at the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo, just outside Thailand’s capital, Bangkok. Home to around 80,000 crocodiles, the facility is the largest crocodile farm in the country.

The zoo’s collection is not limited to crocodiles. Boasting an impressive line-up of animals, including monkeys, tigers, elephants, lions, horses, and hippos, it offers visitors an immersive wildlife experience.

Regularly, it stages captivating crocodile shows, with daring zookeepers placing their heads in the reptiles’ mouths, adding to the thrill and intrigue of a visit.
