The following morning, Maatany spotted Siligi protecting all seven of her cubs, a sight that deeply moved everyone.

The survival rate for cheetah cubs is alarmingly low, with only about 10 percent reaching adulthood due to predators like lions and hyenas and various diseases.

Therefore, witnessing seven cubs from a single litter is truly exceptional, bringing hope and joy to nature enthusiasts and conservationists.

Siligi now faces raising her cubs in the vast Maasai Mara, where threats from predators and human activities persist.

The Mara Meru Cheetah Project, led by Dr. Elena Chelysheva, supports her by monitoring the cubs and ensuring tourist vehicles keep a safe distance.
