In a remarkable moment captured on camera, a large tiger was seen resting peacefully on a wall in Athkona, a remote village in Uttar Pradesh, India.
The tiger’s appearance caused a stir among the locals, who gathered in large numbers to witness the unusual sight.

The animal, believed to have escaped from the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, reportedly wandered into a home in the village on Monday night.
Injured and seemingly seeking refuge, the tigress perched on a farmhouse wall, draping its legs over the sides.

While the tiger’s presence initially caused panic, the tigress remained calm, showing no signs of distress despite the growing crowd, many of whom recorded the incident on their phones.
The tigress, thought to be around two years old, captivated the attention of villagers and nearby residents who came to watch.
Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, where the tiger likely originated, is home to a wide range of wildlife, including 127 species of animals like hog deer, leopards, and blue bulls, along with 326 bird species.

On Tuesday, forest department officials arrived at the scene and secured the area with a net. After roughly ten hours, the team successfully tranquilized the tigress and safely captured her. She was later taken for a medical examination to assess her condition.
