Across the globe, more and more puppies are being heartlessly abandoned on the streets by their owners, creating serious challenges for animal shelters that are already struggling with overcrowding and limited resources.

One such case involved a tiny puppy, just two weeks old, left alone on a bustling street by a person who no longer wanted him. Fortunately, a compassionate passerby noticed the little pup’s cries and promptly contacted an animal rescue organization for assistance.

When rescuers arrived, they found a tiny puppy who had only recently opened his eyes, trying to make sense of the overwhelming environment around him. The poor animal was confused, frightened, and teetering dangerously close to the road—miraculously avoiding being hit by a car.

Being so young, the puppy could not feed himself and cried continuously, seeking his mother. Without the rescuers’ timely intervention, his prospects for survival would have been bleak.

The rescuers took him to a warm, secure location, only to discover that his condition was more serious than they had initially thought. The puppy was experiencing strange seizures resembling epilepsy, a heartrending sight for all involved.

He refused to eat, crying persistently, and barely had any reflexes to swallow. Concerned for his survival, rescuers rushed him to a veterinary clinic. The puppy, whom they named Blueberry, weighed just about 20 ounces and had a significant fever.

Due to his tiny size, veterinarians faced challenges in examining him thoroughly but dedicated their efforts to stabilize his condition. Blueberry spent five days in the clinic until he was well enough to leave, and thankfully, the seizures ceased and did not return.

After his discharge, Blueberry went to a temporary foster home, where he received exceptional care and even had a furry companion to play with. His health rapidly improved, transforming from a distressed pup into a lively and cheerful little dog.

He will stay with his foster family a bit longer until he is ready to be placed in a permanent home where he can continue to grow and enjoy his life. Blueberry, after enduring so much, deserves a future filled with happiness and care.
