Take the case of Pit Bulls, a breed often labeled as dangerous and unadoptable. This stereotype results in numerous Pit Bulls, especially those with special needs, being left in shelters without homes. However, those who see beyond these clichés know that Pit Bulls can be among the most loving creatures.
A heartwarming example of this is a deaf Pit Bull named Evie from Pearce, Arizona. Evie’s story unfolds on a farm where she shares her life with her owners, Allison Thomison and her husband. They adopted Evie during their time as foster parents for Valley of the Sun Dog, a rescue group based in Mesa, Arizona.
After relocating to a farm, Allison and her husband acquired several animals including dogs, goats, and cows. Evie quickly displayed her affection for nurturing young animals, especially puppies, caring for them as if she were their mother. However, when there were no babies to attend to, Evie seemed to lose her purpose.
This changed when the Thomison family brought in an abandoned baby goat named Branch. They hoped that amongst their animals, someone would care for the little goat, and their trust was firmly placed in Evie. Despite being deaf and a different species, Evie rose to the occasion, displaying her nurturing instincts once again.
Evie spent her days with Branch, providing him comfort and companionship. Their bond was beautifully captured in a TikTok video that Allison shared under her account, @farmofmilkandhoney, showcasing Evie’s tender care for Branch.
Allison anticipated that the video would garner some attention, but the response surpassed her expectations. It sparked numerous reactions from viewers who were touched by the interaction.
