Last Update:

Meet TimTams, a petite but spirited 13-year-old cat with an unusual story. Weighing just four pounds, she looks like a four-month-old kitten and is brimming with personality.

TimTams found herself in a Virginia shelter where she struggled to find a forever home due to her timid nature, often keeping to herself in the shadows. As her chances of adoption dwindled, Karyn Poplin stepped in to help.

Karyn runs a Texas-based sanctuary for senior and special needs cats and was moved by TimTams’ situation. “She’s an unbelievably small 13-year-old who needed a new home. She weighs only about four pounds,” Karyn shared with Cat Lovers.

In May, TimTams embarked on a journey from Virginia to Texas to her new sanctuary. Karyn, along with her husband Gerald, operates the Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary, a refuge for cats that are elderly, disabled, or otherwise difficult to adopt in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. TimTams is just one of many senior cats they have cared for over the years.

Initially shy upon her arrival, TimTams quickly adjusted to her new environment with some tender care from her new family.

According to a heartwarming update shared by Karyn with Love Meow, “She adores head rubs, enjoys Fancy Feast, and spends much of her time napping. While she doesn’t make much noise, she beams with happiness whenever we’re around.”

Despite her diminutive size, TimTams makes her presence known with plenty of affectionate headbumps and cuddles. She’s even been known to sneak in and discover the secret stash of midnight snacks, holding out for a tasty reward.

TimTams is thriving in her loving new home, sharing it with feline companions and two humans who adore her. Her daily headbumps are her way of expressing just how content she is with her new family.
