A stray cat found a loving home by giving everyone at the animal shelter affectionate hugs.
A kind-hearted individual discovered a stray cat scavenging for food and decided to feed and watch over him. As the cat became more comfortable, they opted to bring him indoors, hoping to provide a better life for him through Lollypop Farm.
According to Lollypop Farm, the cat showed signs of once being domesticated before ending up on the streets. It is believed he was abandoned when his previous owners moved away.
Upon arrival at the shelter, the cat immediately showed his amiable nature by nuzzling against people, eager for their attention.
Initially mistaken for a female, it was soon revealed during a vet check-up that the cat was male, due to an operation often done on male cats with urinary blockages. Regardless, the staff adored him just the same and named him Lenu.
With care and attention, Lenu flourished. He often followed people around the shelter, seeking their company.
A four-year-old, 17-pound bundle of love, Lenu became known for climbing onto laps for cuddles, chirping, purring, and stretching out contentedly.
One day, when a staff member’s son visited, Lenu was intent on charming him. As soon as the boy sat on the floor, Lenu approached and made himself comfortable in the boy’s lap, giving him a hearty hug and purring loudly.
The shelter captured this heartwarming moment and shared it on social media, hoping it would help Lenu find a forever home. The post caught the attention of a couple who were immediately taken with him.
They visited the shelter that day and instantly fell in love. Lenu, as if sensing their interest, settled on their lap, signaling his choice.
Just a day after becoming available for adoption, Lenu found his new family. He adapted quickly, winning over his new parents with his gentle nature and charming personality.
“He’s our baby boy now,” shared his new mom. They continued his special diet and provided him with a fountain for hydration.
Lenu now lives as the beloved pet, showering his new parents with endless affection. “He loves meeting family and friends, always eager to be the center of attention. We couldn’t have asked for a better companion,” said Lenu’s proud mom.
